How we check our guides
Every AB Group Shipping guide goes through the same check before it is published, and again every few months.
1. We list every claim that can be checked
Laws and decrees, taxes and duties, exemptions and who qualifies, limits, deadlines, documents, official fees, banned goods, authorities, statistics, ports and transit times.
2. We compare them with the rules we have verified
Country by country, our team checked the customs rules against the law texts and each authority’s official pages.
3. What is left, we look up on official sources
The customs or tax authority, the ministry or consulate, the law text or the official gazette. A claim counts as confirmed only when we can quote the sentence on the source that says it. Other companies’ blogs are never enough to confirm a rule.
4. We correct or remove
Anything wrong or out of date is corrected, with its source. Anything we cannot confirm is removed or explained in general terms; we never swap it for another unconfirmed figure.
5. Prices come from our own system
AB Group Shipping prices come from our own rate system, carry their date, and update when carriers’ rates change.
Every checked guide shows the date it was checked and lists its sources at the end. If a guide is changed later, the date disappears until it is checked again.
Rules change, and some depend on your situation. Before you ship, confirm the rules that apply to you with us or with a licensed customs agent.
