Truckload freight questions
Still deciding? Message us on WhatsApp and a person answers.
WhatsApp 786-365-198101How much does a full truckload cost?
It depends on the lane, distance, equipment, weight and the time of year. Enter your load above: dry van rates show on screen, and reefer, flatbed, step deck and power only are quoted by a specialist within 1 business day.
02When is FTL better than LTL?
Usually above 10 to 12 pallets or about 15,000 lb, or when your freight is fragile, high value or time-sensitive and should not move through terminals. For less, see LTL freight.
03Which trailer do I need?
Dry van for most palletized freight, reefer for food and anything temperature-controlled, flatbed or step deck for machinery, steel and loads that go on from the side or top. Wider or taller than a standard load? Check what it needs with our oversize load permit checker.
04What is power only?
You supply the loaded trailer; we send a truck and driver to haul it.
05How long does a truckload take?
A single driver covers about 500 miles a day, so coast to coast usually takes 4 to 6 days. Shorter lanes are often next day.
06Can you move hazmat?
Yes, with carriers certified for it. Mark hazmat in the quote and have the UN number and safety data sheet ready.
