02How long does it take to ship a car coast to coast?
Pickup can take 1 to 7 days depending on your area. After pickup, coast to coast usually takes 7 to 10 days and shorter routes take less; weather and distance from main highways can add time. The calculator above shows the estimate for your route.
03Open or enclosed transport: which should I choose?
Open is the right choice for most everyday cars: it is the most common and the easiest to book. Choose enclosed for classic, exotic, luxury or restored cars that need full protection from weather and road debris.
04Can you ship a car that doesn’t run?
Yes. Tell us it doesn’t run when you book and we arrange a carrier with a winch to load it. The car needs to roll, steer and brake.
05Do I need to be there at pickup and delivery?
Yes, you or someone you trust who is 18 or older. They hand over or receive the keys, check the inspection report with the driver and sign it.
06Can I leave things in the car?
It is best not to. Items inside are not covered by the carrier’s insurance and add weight, so remove personal belongings, loose items and toll tags.
07How do I get my car ready?
Wash it so the inspection is accurate, take dated photos, remove personal items and toll tags, and leave about a quarter tank of fuel. Turn off the alarm and have one full set of keys ready.
